Synopsis:
Our production opens up with two explorers (one male / one female) who are thirsty for discovery
and adventure and determined to map out new land and be introduced to new creatures. Each
explorer is the captain of their own ship and they independently happen across a floating message
in a bottle. The message tells them of bright and strong magic that can only be found deep within.
Wanting to be the first to discover this magic, they both go deep within the sea to explore. Along
the way, each explorer meets underwater friends and learns new things! There is a fish that only
speaks Spanish who teaches new ways to communicate. There is a fish with a light who teaches
how to be confident. From beautiful jellyfish ballet dancers to small singing minnows, the ocean
holds beautiful music and colorful characters. Featuring composers such as Mozart, Puccini,
Strauss, Wagner, Vivaldi, Verdi and more, the young audiences of this Opera4Kids will walk away
humming tunes from some of the most famous orchestral music of all time. Each selection is
carefully selected to fit the mood and energy of the story and the libretto is completely rewritten
to fit a young audience. Emphasis on this program will be ocean conservation, multi-lingual
communication, and both female and male empowerment. In conclusion we find that after all of
these adventures, the magic to be discovered is deep within each explorer. It is the belief in
oneself!
